@lucky nomad387 wowww ok decided to stay where we are for now and fix our backup process first. Turns out that was the real worry, not teh host.
ok so i can handle basic Linux, but Id rather not be the only person who can fix a client site with modest traffic at night. idk what else to say tbh
ahh classic start with powercfg /a to see which sleep states are available (S3 vs Modern Standby). Then powercfg /lastwake and powercfg /waketimers show what woke teh machine. at this point my GPU cost more than my car lol
@dima stack I was using the desktop package on a laptop GPU. Grabbed the right one from the AMD supoprt page and it installed fine. Feel a bit silly but happy. seriously made my day 😭🙏
yeah so the hardware ID ends in a subsytsem ID from the laptop maker, not AMD. hope thats enough info 😅
