For competitive shooters most players keep it off. Latency and occasional artifacts around fast moving UI or crosshairs matter more than smoothness there.

ok so my old thinkpad is officially haunted. exact same thing happened to my brand new build last month

ok update: did what @zoe.ziegler said and its fine now

not gonna lie this is driving me nuts spent since tuesday on gpu and im still not done
