@luca.dubois copied everything off teh laptop SSD first, then teh long test failed. replaced it the next day. so glad I listened. owe u a beer 🍺
if it's flapping, check Restart= and StartLimitIntervalSec=/StartLimitBurst=... after hitting the limit, clear it with sudo systemctl reset failed worker.service once teh cause is fixed.

yeahhh check that the driver install didnt reset ur control panel settings (power management mode, low latency mode, V Sync, frame caps). A clean install resets everything to defaults, which can feel like a performance change. hope that…
