@ayilmaz omggg it was teh TV port. Moved to the HDMI 2.1 port and enabled enhanced mode on the TV 馃憤 Now enabling HDR works. seriously made my day 馃槶馃檹
sorry forgot to say i didnt know the ports were different. using whichever one was free. sorry for the wall of text lol
