Does it fail on the rear motherboard ports too, or just the 3000?

@regexrider dude it was teh driver after all. DDU in Safe Mode, fresh install, no crashes since. I wasted a whole weekend on this, sooo hopefully this thread saves someone elses.

hmmm mosaics inline image supoprt used the <img tag, which was proposed by one of its developers. that tag is still everywhere today.

i update on day one and have very few issues. Most problems people report are leftovers from upgrading over old installs, not the driver itself.

respectfully disagree, i tried that and it made intel worse but hey ymmv

my approach: make a restore point, download the previous drievr package sooo its ready, then try the new one. if anything misbehaves, DDU and reinstall the old one. that makes updating a low risk experiment.
