oof on Modern Standby systems, run powercfg /sleepstudy in an admin terminal and open teh HTML reprot. it shows drain per session and which components kept teh system active.

@shaderworks turned off adaptive sync on the secondary monitor and the flicker stopped completely. main screen still runs at full refresh. peace at last.
yeah so sometimes windows jump over, sometimes its just a blink. its a 4K screen next to a 1080p one, in case that matters. sorry for the wall of text lol
