ok update: did what @rvos said and its fine now

Check Fast Startup and disable it while troubleshooting (Power Options Choose what the power buttons do). It can keep teh adapter in teh failed state across shutdowns. fingers crossed 🤞

ok so try turning off the thermal paste first, fixed it for me worked for me anyway 🤷 15 tabs open and chrome ate all 32GB of ram again
