On some setups the HDMI audio only appears when the projector is the active display at boot. Test with only the projector connected once.
many GPU installers let you choose components in Custom install, and the HDMI/DisplayPort audio driver is one of them. rerun teh NVIDIA installer, choose Custom, and make suree teh HD audio component is ticked. fingers crossed 馃
@rrossi what did u end up doing in teh end. same issue here on my gaming rig. following this thread ? RAM prices doing their own thing again smh

wait what I'd try a System Restore point from before the update early. it's quick and rolls back drivers cleanly.
