ehh this is a very old trick, its been passed around since teh Windows 95 era. Still delightful though.

ahh classic middle ground that works for me: keep updates automatic, but set Active hours and use Pause updates before imoprtant days... in Windows that's Settings Windows Update, you get security patches without surprise restarts during…
