Check the server log while you try to connect: sudo journalctl u ssh f (or u sshd on RHEL family, /var/log/auth.log on older Debian/Ubuntu). It says exactly why: bad ownership, wrong user, key type not accepted.

nah tbh before gdb, Id just pin the previous base image and confirm the crash disappears. bisecting is faster than reading assembly. idk maybe im wrong lol

ok so in scripts, prefer pushd/popd or subshells ( cd dir && command ) so u dont change the callers directory. good luck man!

ok so chip maker drivers get bug fixes and security fixes sooner, if the OEM version is very old, theres a real argument for the newer one, especially for security. hope that helps :)
