    ok so new member here, i'm a dad with a new gaming PC... everyone told me this forum is friendly to beginners, so here goes... after two hundred hours, a racing sim decided to crash every half hour.

    Outside of games Im into music and cooking, and Im happy to chat about either. thx for having me! I already tried resatrting, which is the full extent of my troubleshooting knowledge sooo far. Any poniters welcome. thx in advance!!

    lol same thing happened to me welcome! good first step: check Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application for an Application Error entry at the time of teh crash. the faulting module name tells us a lot, like a graphics driver file or a game file.

    been there man if you use overlays or mods, disable them all and test... overlays from Discord, recording software and RGB apps can all cause crashes, mods are the first suspect after two hundred hours if anything updated recently.

    welcome! also make sure your page file isnt disabled :) some big games crash when RAM fills up and Windows has no page file to fall back on.
