THE CONFERENCE ROOM TV KEEPS DROPPING OFF THE NETWORK. TURNS OUT IT HAD A TWIN !!
came here to say exactly this. @zoe.rahman60 what did u end up doing in the end fingers crossed 馃
have u checked your lan settings? mine were reset after an update
on a Windows DHCP server, enable conflict detection (right-click IPv4 > Properties > Advanced tab, 'Conflict detection attempts' set to 1 or 2, its server-wide, not per scope). the server pings an address before leasing it... it slows leasing slightly but prevents duplicates from static devices.
ahh classic if clients get adrdesses outside your DHCP scope, u have a second DHCP server: often a consumer router someone plugged in, or a device with DHCP enabled by default. On Windows,
ipconfig /allshows theDHCP Serveraddress the client actually used. Then find and unplug it. hope that helps :)lol same thing happened to me the most common cause is a static IP cnofigured inside the DHCP pool. DHCP doesn't know it's taken and hands it out again. Either move static devices outside the pool or create DHCP reservations for them instead of static configs.
@pingnomad-21m moved the conference room TV to a reservation outside the pool... no conflict warnings for a week. seriously made my day 馃槶馃檹
