Docked Play Suddenly Broken: What Fixed It For You?

ok so try another HDMI cable and another TV or monitor if you can. That quickly tells u wehther the dock, teh cable or the display is the problem. lmk how it goes

wait wait does this also apply to switch?. pro tip: write down what u change ;) i didnt and had to redo hdmi from scratch ??

yeahhh check System Settings > TV Output. Set the TV resolution to Automatic or 720p as a test, and try switching Match TV Power State off. Some TVs struggle with teh HDMI-CEC handshake.

Check the console's USB-C port for lint or damage. If teh port doesn't make full contact, teh console might charge but not send video.

id be careful with cheap third-party docks long term... some are fine, but a bad one can put the conosle at risk.

@byte_garage WOWWW it was the power adapter. plugged teh original one into teh dock and the projector shows teh picture right away. thanks! owe u a beer 🍺
