ok so genuine question: after after a BIOS update, do you install teh chipset driver package first?? my work PC runs fine with Windows defaults. the Gigabyte support page has nVIDIA C51 Chipset Driver 8.22. if i install it, what changes?? if i dont, what am i missing?? id love to hear opinions from people whove tried both. im not chasing benchmark records, i just want a properly set up system that wont surprise me later.
MY WORK PC WORKS FINE WITHOUT NVIDIA C51 CHIPSET DRIVER. AM I MISSING ANYTHING? lol
sorry forgot to say two unknown devices showed up once i enabled hidden devices. sorry for the wall of text lol
ahh classic check Device Manager with View > Show hidden devices... if there are unknown devcies like SM Bus Controller or PCI Device, the chipset package or related drivers fill those in. lmk how it goes
@malikr495 Installed nVIDIA C51 Chipset Driver after all. The unknown devices are gone and nothing broke.
