Genuine question about update philosophy ;) My PC is stable on an old studio branch. The new GeForce Graphics Driver lists fixes that dont realy affect me. Do you update anyway for sceurity and compatibility, or do you only update when a game or app needs it? i mostly do streaming. i am curious how other ppl handle this, especially anyone who depends on their PC for work and cannot afford a broken evening.
Is NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 310.70 Stable, Or Should I Wait?
A day of downtime would be annoying for streaming, but not a disaster.
driver updates do sometimes include security fixes, so i wouldnt stay on a very old version forever. but waiting a week or two after release to see if a hotfix appears is perfectly reasonable. lmk how it goes
help!! spent my entire lunch break on driver-upadte and im still not done... is nvidia even worth bothering with or should i just leave it what am i doing wrong??
For photo editing, stability matters more than the newest game optimizations. If theres a separate stable/studio/recommended branch, thats usually the better fit.
