  1. im literally losing my mind here flickering secondary monitor since teh AMD update.

    gpu artifacts

Details: two monitors at different refresh rates. It goes black for a moment, comes back, sometimes teh windows jump to the main screen. Ive rebooted plenty. Id love a checklist rather than random tips, since Ive already tried random tips... i have about an hour tonight to test things, and i would rather go through them in a sensible order. Tell me what u would check first and i will report back with results.

  2. hmmm if ure on a USB-C dock, update the dock firmware and teh AMD drvier both from their support pages. Docks rely on DisplayPort alt mode and are very sensitive to driver changes.

the real fix was the friends we made along the way

  3. In Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Change default graphics settings, try toggling Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and Variable refresh rate (the Windows one), then reboot.

  5. ahh classic turn off variable refresh (G-Sync/FreeSync/Adaptive Sync) on teh secondary monitor and in the driver control panel as a test. VRR on a desktop screen with video palying is a classic flicker trigger.

  8. wait what windows jumping screens points more at the cable or monitor sleep than teh driver, in my experience. i'd test that before rolling back.
