  1. so annoyed rn i joined a meeting this morning and nobody could hear me. sound settings says there are no input devices, even tho my laptops built-in mic is plugged in and its little light is on. the Valve Steam Deck Audio Drivers update went in yesterday, and thats teh only change i can find 🙏 in Device Manager i see this:

    USB Audio Device Properties

    USB Audio Device Properties
    Device status:
    This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation Failed}
    The requested operation was unsuccessful.

    Ive tried another port, rebooted, and checked teh mute switch three times. My recording app shows nothing to choose from. I feel silly asking, but Im out of ideas and I have another call this afternoon. im about to throw this thing out the window lol

  4. ahh classic some vendor audio suites have their own jack detection or device toggle that overrides Windows. Open teh vendors consloe app (if installed) and check whether the mic input is disabled or reassigned there. hope that helps :)

    yeahhh check privacy first, its the most common cause: Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone... make sure Microphone access is on, Let apps access your microphone is on, and Let desktop apps access ur microphone is on, updates sometimes reset these. good luck man!
