oh ive been there lol this. so much this hope that helps :)
If nothing works, install the full audio package from the PC or motherboard maker's support page, then reboot. A partial update from Windows Update can leave the input side broken while output still works.
sorry forgot to say SMART says teh NVMe SSD is healthy.
